Emmy Rossum was spotted on the Westchester County in New York set of The Crowded Room on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old performer was pictured in costume as she checked her phone during some down time. She is starring as the mother of Tom Holland‘s character which is a stretch as they are only nine years apart in age.

Also seen was her castmate, Amanda Seyfried, was also spotted.

The first season of the forthcoming television series is currently in the production stage.

Rossum donned a patterned and multicolored long-sleeve blouse to play the mother of Holland’s character even though they are only 10 years apart.

Emmy is 35 with Tom 26. 

The Shameless actress was also costumed in a pair of vintage brown pants and green Crocs.

Her dark brunette hair fell onto her shoulders and contrasted perfectly with the bright tones of her top.

Seyfried, 36, kept it casual in a button-down shirt that was tucked into a pair of blue jeans.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will utilize an anthology format, with each season focusing on a different subject.

It was also reported that the program would ‘explore the true and inspirational stories of those who struggled and learned to successfully live with mental illness.’

The first season of the program will be based on the non-fiction novel The Minds of Billy Milligan, which was previously published in 1981.

The book was centered on the individual of the same name, who became the first person in the history of the United States to have been acquitted for a crime after being diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.

Holland will portray the season’s main character, Daniel Sullivan, while Rossum, who is only nine years older than him, will play his mother Candy.

Seyfried is currently set to play a figure named Rya, a clinical psychologist and single mother.

Other performers who are set to appear in the series include Sasha Lane, Jason Isaacs and Emma Laird.

Physical production on the program kicked off this past March, with New York City serving as a primary filming location.

The Crowded Room will premiere on the Apple TV+ streaming service at an unspecified date in the future.
