BRA shopping is difficult enough when you aren’t looking for a specialty silhouette, but strapless bras are a whole new level of frustrating.
One fashion influencer revealed you can convert any bra into a strapless look with a clever twist.
The trick comes courtesy of model and influencer Celeste Broderick, whose followers were amazed by the incredibly simple strategy.
She swears the hack works better than a “real” strapless bra, and it doesn’t require any extra supplies or investments from you.
Start by loosening up your bra straps – a command all bra-wearers love to hear.
“On both sides, make sure they are as loose as possible,” Broderick instructed.
Then, get ready to criss-cross your straps into their new positions, which will keep your chest supported while hiding the bra from view.
“Move straps over your head and shoulders to the opposite side,” Broderick continued.
Pull your loosened right bra strap over your head, across your left shoulder, and all the way down your arm, so it can fit snugly across your chest.
After you have one strap in place, reach across and repeat the process with your other strap.
Demonstrating with her own bra, over her shirt, Broderick showed what the straps should look like.
The straps should criss-cross over the front of your chest, resting just above the tops of the cups.
Once the straps are sitting across your chest, instead of at your shoulders, you can adjust them to fit comfortably against your skin.
Broderick said you can also tuck any loose parts of the bra, like gaping areas at the sides of the cups, underneath the straps to secure them.
Once she’d finished the transformation, Broderick’s bra looked like a traditional strapless fit – no onlookers would be the wiser. And she insisted the final product stays in place better than a traditional strapless bra.
Several TikTok commenters said the trick worked wonders, with others confessing they’d used the hack for years, but a number of would-be fashion hackers didn’t have as much luck.
“This didn’t work for me,” one viewer wrote. “My linebacker shoulders said no.”
“I got stuck, thanks,” quipped another frustrated commenter.
